binkat Generator

This is the model generator for binkat. Any changes you make are saved in the URL, so you can share that URL or create a bookmark to keep those changes around.

Parameters

$fn

cell diameter
Diameter of each coin cell

cell height
Height of each coin cell

cell gap
Target gap between cells, in mm

cell grab length
How much of the cell should stick out of the bin to grab onto? 0.35 means 35% should stick out

recess
How far should the cell be recessed into the box? Setting this to the same or a higher value as cell_grab_length makes the bin stackable.

min label height
Minimum space for the label that is kept clear of cells

General Settings

gridx
number of bases along x-axis

gridy
number of bases along y-axis

gridz
bin height. See bin height information and "gridz_define" below.

half grid
Half grid sized bins. Implies "only corners".

Height

gridz define
How "gridz" is used to calculate height. Some exclude 7mm/1U base, others exclude ~3.5mm (4.4mm nominal) stacking lip.

height internal
Overrides internal block height of bin (for solid containers). Leave zero for default height. Units: mm

enable zsnap
snap gridz height to nearest 7mm increment

include lip
If the top lip should exist. Not included in height calculations.

Base Hole Options

only corners
only cut magnet/screw holes at the corners of the bin to save uneccesary print time

refined holes
Use gridfinity refined hole style. Not compatible with magnet_holes!

magnet holes
Base will have holes for 6mm Diameter x 2mm high magnets.

screw holes
Base will have holes for M3 screws.

crush ribs
Magnet holes will have crush ribs to hold the magnet.

chamfer holes
Magnet/Screw holes will have a chamfer to ease insertion.

printable hole top
Magnet/Screw holes will be printed so supports are not needed.

enable thumbscrew
Enable "gridfinity-refined" thumbscrew hole in the center of each base: https: www.printables.com/model/413761-gridfinity-refined
